We as humans have at least one vice, whether we like to admit it or not, but did you know that one of the most common vices is actually good for you???
That's right! Chocolate is actually beneficial to your health. (Granted, chocolate, like most other things, must be consumed in moderation.) It is FILLED with antioxidants. The darker the chocolate, the better. Antioxidants help rid the body of free radicals, which cause aging and disease. In fact, dark chocolate has more antioxidants than green tea, red wine, pomegranates, and even... wait for it... BLUEBERRIES!
If you've had dark chocolate and found the taste to be bitter, then you should give another brand a try. Gourmet dark chocolate doesn't have to be expensive and can be extremely satisfying on the palate! Case in point: Dark chocolate with cranberries and almonds.
