Ok, so most of us crave chocolate 24/7 BUT ever notice a spike in your chocolate craving? Or perhaps you're not a "sweets" person and all of a sudden can't get enough chocolate or go out of your way just to buy a candy bar?
There's actual something more to this craving than JUST wanting a piece of chocolate. Typically, your body craves foods that contain vitamins and minerals it might be low on. For instance, if you are craving a hamburger or piece of steak, you're likely lacking in iron and magnesium... Another indication your body might need some more iron and magnesium is if you are having a sudden craving for chocolate.
Some ways to add more iron and magnesium to your diet include:
- Iron supplements
- Lean piece of red meat
- Dark Chocolate
- Spinach
- Beans
- Etc.
Personally, I'd rather consume option number 3 than the rest, but to each their own! ;-)
