Feliz Cinco De Mayo!

Most people are under the assumption that May 5th is the day of Independence for Mexico (similar to the United State's 4th of July). However, this is not the case. Mexico's Independence Day is actually September 16th.

So what exactly is Cinco De Mayo then???

Cinco De Mayo commemorates the victory of the Mexican army over the French army at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. This was the first victory of the Mexican militia over the French and is in turn celebrated in both Mexico and the United States.

In honor of this wonderful holiday, people celebrate with food, festivals, and fiestas! Here at Graffiti Zoo, we will be having our own personal celebration by indulging in some margaritas and their perfect counterparts, the Margarita Manatees!!!

We think the celebration should last year-long, so why not join us and indulge in some wonderful margarita-madness??? Your taste buds will thank you!
